JUDICIAL RETENTION PLEBISCITE RESULTS

Electronic ballots were casted and received from members of the Delaware County Bar Association to determine the opinion of each member as to whether or not President Judge, the Honorable Jack A. Panella and the Honorable Victor P. Stabile should be retained in the office of Judge of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania; and whether or not the Honorable Richard M. Cappelli, the Honorable Barry C. Dozor, and the Honorable William C. Mackrides should be retained in the office of Judge of the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas. 

During the judicial retention process, the role of the Committee is to list the names of each judicial retention candidate for Court of Common Pleas, Superior Court, Commonwealth Court, and Supreme Court and disseminate that list to each member attorney to cast their vote electronically wherein members are asked to indicate “yes” or “no” for retention of a respective judicial candidate.  Upon electronic submission, the ballots are automatically tabulated, and the results are published as tabulated, reflecting the percentage of votes casted in each category.

These votes do not represent the opinion of the Committee or Board of Directors of the Association. 

The Judicial Retention Committee supports the concept of retention of Judges.

The Delaware County Bar Association may not endorse any candidate for judicial office.
