MISSION
The Delaware County Bar Foundation promotes access to justice by providing education to attorneys, by raising public awareness of the legal system, and by supporting local programs which provide pro bono legal services to residents of Delaware County.
Since 1978, the Delaware County Bar Foundation has been the 501(c)(3) non-profit arm of the Delaware County Bar Association. The Foundation was originally created to advance the administration of justice and professional ethics through the education of attorneys, but it has since expanded its mission to support access to the justice system through funding pro bono activities and programs which serve the residents of Delaware County.
The Foundation relies on the support of local lawyers and members of the public to advance its mission and strives to guarantee quality education for lawyers and members of the judiciary and to provide avenues by which vulnerable residents of Delaware County can gain access to the court system through pro bono representation.
